High Standards on Site: Our Supervisor’s Story

4.4.2025
Behind every successful project are skilled professionals who bring it to life – including steel-fixers, carpenters, and team leaders. At Nord Armering, we value those who are loyal to their craft, uphold the highest standards, and grow with us.

Today, we introduce Bogdan Nowakowski, a supervisor who joined us five years ago as a foreman and rose to lead his own team – while still working hands-on as a carpenter.

Known for his discipline, loyalty, and commitment to high-quality work, Bogdan Nowakowski and his team are consistently in demand for reinforcement and concrete projects.
"My approach to work is simple – whatever I do, I try to do it right. If something isn’t done properly, I’d rather not do it at all. When I take on a job, I make sure it’s done well, and I expect the same from myself first and then from my team."
"I have 30 years of working experience, five of those with Nord, and the last three in Sweden. Before that, I was a foreman as well, working with Damian Wojcik. After a while, since he already knew me as a reliable worker, he offered me a job at Nord, and I took it.

Even with all my experience, there’s always something new to learn! Every project brings fresh challenges. For example, for the past five years, most of my projects have involved wind turbine foundations, which are more demanding than the projects I worked on before."
"I’d say we get along well, and things just work. When new people join, we figure out how to keep everything running smoothly. If any conflicts come up, I try to handle them right away instead of escalating them."
Hi Bogdan! Tell us about your experience in the steel-fixing industry.
How would you describe the team spirit in your crew?
Bogdan didn’t want a photo alone – he wanted his team with him. That’s respect. That’s team spirit.
"Discipline on a job site is key, and I do my best to keep things in order. I take an individual approach—different strategies for different people, and my experience helps with that.

Sometimes you have to give someone a pat on the back, and other times you have to be firm. If something needs to be said, I say it—whether it’s praise or criticism.

The way I see it – if the client is happy, that’s a win. As long as I do my job well and the company keeps getting contracts, I have a job. If I start slacking, the company loses, and I could lose too. For me, it’s important to do a good job, and I expect the same from my team."
(Laughs) "No, I’m not into fishing, but I really like Scandinavia. I worked in Norway before, and now I’m in Sweden – I think these are really interesting countries."
How do you keep things disciplined and organized in your team?
How do you like Scandinavia? Have you started fishing as a hobby? 😉
Thank you very much for the chat!
